For quite some time now, Offerpal Media has been one of the biggest names in virtual currency partner programs. Designed to allow users to earn virtual currency without spending real world money, their services has been incorporated into a wide variety of social games and platforms. Players earn this virtual currency by completing a variety of offers from partner programs that include surveys, magazine subscriptions, and more. Offerpal has just announced the launch of GamePoints.com – a one-stop shop for virtual currencies that can be spent in more than 1,500 online games and applications.

Offerpal offers were previously available exclusively within the game that you were earning currency towards. GamePoints opens up this world and lets you earn points that can later be redeemed towards currency in the game of your choosing. At launch, there are literally thousands of options for participants to earn game points.

“Virtual currency has become an integral part of the online gaming experience, enabling consumers to purchase everything from clothes and accessories for their avatars to functional items that confer some type of advantage within the game,” said George Garrick, CEO of Offerpal Media, Inc. “We launched GamePoints.com to empower online gamers with ways to earn virtual currency for free rather than having to pay for it, and to give them the choice of spending that currency wherever they’d like within our vast network.”

At the moment, GamePoints can be spent exclusively in Facebook games. However the plan is to add games from MySpace, Bebo, Hi5 and other social networks, as well as standalone MMO’s and other virtual world sites shortly. A wide variety of Facebook games are already participating, including FarmVille, Social City, Mafia Wars and more.

GamePoints is free to join, and the site is available in public beta starting today. Click here to check it out for yourself.
