EA Sports has already brought football, soccer, and baseball to Facebook, and now the developer is doing the same with hockey.

The just-announced NHL Superstars will follow in the footsteps of other social sports games like FIFA Superstars, World Series Superstars, and Madden NFL Superstars, offering a free-to-play team management experience.

NHL Superstars will bring an all-new NHL experience to millions of hockey fans by enabling players to build and manage their ultimate team of professional hockey players,” the company explained in a statement. “With dynamic and accessible gameplay, fans can compete head-to-head in games against their Facebook friends from around the world.”

The game is expected to launch in October.
