2019 is turning out to be a good year for fans of the MU Origin series. Not only has the original just reached version 9.0, but MU Origin 2 is out too.

And the first big update has arrived. MU Origin 2 1.3 adds a number of elements to the game, including new monsters, bosses, pets, creatures, costumes, and more.

MU Origin 2, in case you’re not aware, is an epic MMORPG from Webzen. It sees you picking a character type – Dark Wizard, Dark Knight, or Elf – and venturing into a fantasy world filled with all sorts of monsters and magic.

The MU continent is so massive that you get a mount for traversing it, and you get a pet, too, to help fend off the vast and varied cast of enemies. All the features you’d expect to find in a AAA MMORPG are here, including PvP, PvE, bosses, a sprawling single-player campaign, and so on.

Pets, maps, bosses

And the 1.3 update piles even more stuff on. First up, there are the Guild Sacred Creatures. These bring with them buffs that are applied to every guild member.

You’ll also get Sacred Creature skills by being in a guild with a creature, and you can take these with you if you leave the guild. The only way to upgrade them, though, is to join another guild with the same creature.

There are two new guardian pets, too: Shadow of Utter Darkness and Eagle Fairy. We’re not sure what they do but at least one of them sounds terrifying.

You’ll also find a couple of new maps once you install the 1.3 update. La Cleon is accessible from Master 1 level 1, and it contains a new elite boss, called Cerupan. Swamp of Peace, meanwhile, is accessible from Master II level 1 and contains Captain Kraken (who doesn’t sound very peaceable).

There are two new dungeons, too: Frozen Lair and Altar of Corruption.

To get a look at these new features and more, boot up MU Origin 2 or download it on Google Play or the App Store.
