As the headline gives away, tonight’s going to be a pretty crazy one for iOS games. A sequel to one of the biggest games on the App Store? Check. An all-new Final Fantasy game? Check. Be still, our beating heart.

But in all seriousness, tonight’s update appears to have a little something for everyone, be they fans of flying squirrels named Momo, or enthusiasts of running extremely long distances while being pursued by an evil monkey. Surely you fall into one of those camps. And if you don’t, I encourage you to read on anyways, because life is all about broadening your horizons. Maybe you’re a diehard fan of evil monkeys and just don’t know it yet!

Temple Run 2 – You read that correctly. The obscenely popular Temple Run is gettng the sequel treatment, and it promises to bring along gorgeous new environments, additional powerups, a new suite of achievements, an even bigger monkey, and more!

Final Fantasy: All the BravestAll the Bravest is a “touch-action RPG” where combat is the name of the game, and the only way to progress is to kick butt in a series of battles. And because it’s a Final Fantasy game, there will also be several systems for players to contend with, such as a jobs system and an “Active Time Battle” system.

Momonga Pinball Adventures – The combination of flying squirrels and pinball is one that’s never really been tested. The reaction could have been extremely volatile, possibly even causing a rift in the space-time continuum. But Momonga Pinball Adventures pulled it off, and in the process provided us all with a 3D platformer that exists within the constructs of several massive – and oddly verdant – pinball tables.

Heroes & Castles  – Heroes & Castles features elements of gameplay derived from the castle defense, action RPG, and strategy genres. It’s basically the video game equivalent of a pizza with everything on it, and it looks to be the perfect title for people who enjoy large-scale fantasy battles.
