So this is where all the mobile games have been hiding! If you happened to feel like the last few weeks were a little light on the new mobile game releases, then you might want to get your gaming fingers ready, and brace yourself for the seriously awesome onslaught of new games barraging onto the App Store tonight.

We’ve already got our sights set on a few early favorites, including a highly addictive vertical platformer about climbing a tower, an outer space adventure with a clever magnetic twist, and substituting billiards for the age-old medieval jousting duel. But that doesn’t mean there still aren’t plenty of other fun games to be had tonight. It’s a good thing the days get so long in the middle of summer; otherwise we might not be able to play through them all!

Knightmare Tower – I’ve been real excited to finally get my hands on this one for a few weeks now, ever since all the glowing reviews and the “where did the last five hours of my night go?” anecdotes started popping up around the web about the OUYA version of Knightmare Tower. An extremely colorful and cartoony universe that could rival even that of The Behemoth’s Castle Crashers, this vertical platform adventure has you constantly climbing up a hollowed medieval tower, using only the heads of your floating adversaries to keep you steadily rising up above the quickly disappearing ground below you.

An Alien with a Magnet – Okay, who’s the wise guy that left all the magnets out in the open for any old alien to come along and use them for his own devious devices? An Alien with a Magnet looks like one part Cut the Rope (a green little alien collecting gold stars), one part Edmund McMillan’s Aether (using gravitational pulls to swing around different planetary masses in space), and even one part space pinball (who knew that asteroids and comets had the same sprightly physics as pinball machine bumpers!). But if there’s one thing that’s for sure, it’s that An Alien with a Magnet is shaping up to be quite the outer space adventure, bringing great graphics, tons of variety, and just as much addictive gameplay.

Jumping Jupingo – You know what? I’m not even going to mention the fact that the bouncy protagonist in Jumping Jupingo is a big hairy spider. I’m just not even going to think about it. Because if I let my all-consuming fear of spiders take over my thoughts right now, then I won’t be able to tell you all about this awesome looking action-puzzle game with the seriously beautiful 3D jungle environments. The early gameplay footage sort of reminds me of Wik and the Fable of Souls, with the way you’ll have to draw stretchy lines of spider webs across each level to set Jupingo up for a springy good time!

Dragon Pool – I can’t say I’ve ever heard of a “fantasy pool” game before, but just reading into everything we know so far about Dragon Pool, I don’t know why more people haven’t jumped on the role-playing billiards bandwagon before! Basically, the characters in the Dragon Pool universe have gotten a little sick and tired of solving their arguments via the age-old jousting competition. So they’ve decided to take their powerful lances and use them as pool cues instead! The interesting take on duel pool features three different game types, including 8-Ball Pool, 9-Ball Pool, and an exclusive Skill-Pool mode. Hopefully sinking the 8-ball doesn’t result in a fiery dragon-breath penalty!
