The film series may be done and over, but that doesn’t mean that we’ve seen the last of Frank Drebin, as developer Gamecentric Media is reinventing the Naked Gun series as a social game called Naked Gun: International Crime Unit Police. Or, ICUP.
The game will actually star Drebin’s son, Frank Drebin Jr., and will play out as a parody of crime dramas like CSI. It will feature a brand new cast of characters and will play out much like an episodic adventure game, albeit with a social twist.
The game will actually be co-written by Robert LoCash, who served as a writer and producer on the second two films in the series, Naked Gun 2 1/2 and Naked Gun 33 1/3 The Final Insult.
No word yet on when the game will be playable.
