MU Archangel, the latest game in the long-running MU series, has just been updated to version 1.0.4, adding a ton of new content.
For the uninitiated, MU Archangel is the third mobile MU game, and the one that sticks most closely to the blueprint created by MU Online, the classic PC MMORPG that kicked the series off almost exactly 20 years ago in November 2001.
Set on the vast MU continent, MU Archangel sees you picking a race – Dark Wizard, Dark Knight, or Elf – and venturing out to perform daily quests, clear dungeons, battle with other players in the arena, join a guild, and much more besides.
MU Archangel 1.0.4 adds a new arena, new equipment, and increases the game’s max level, among other things.
Chrysos Arena is unlocked after Master Level 20, with new seasons beginning on the first Tuesday of every month. The arena is open every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 11:00 till 05:00 the following day, and it’s divided into Regular and Final zones.
In the Regular Arena you’ll need to survive a series of best-of-three duels. You’ll earn Battle Coins and Battle Points for your trouble, whether you win or lose, but you’ll naturally get more rewards if you come out on top.
The first six runs in the Regular Arena per day are free, after which you’ll need to spend diamonds on additional tickets.
The Final Arena is reserved for the 32 best warriors, with matches taking place at 21:00 on the last Thursday and Saturday of every month. Win here and you’ll become the champion of the Chrysos World Server Arena.
If you’re not among the top 32 players, you can bet on the likely winner and win stuff that way.
Version 1.0.4 also adds Crusade Equipment, which unlocks after Master Level 100, 5th Class Change, and ups the max level from 700 to 800.
