Momento, the cosy little room decorator that relies heavily on memories, is now out on consoles. It launched on Steam on June 6th, 2026, and is now also available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

While the game is in the same general comfort zone as Unpacking, A Little to the Left, and Assemble with Care, there’s a weirdly emotional idea attached to it. It asks what happens to all the random stuff we keep over our lives.

The objects you choose actually change the story. Every toy, keepsake, piece of furniture, or sentimental object you decide to hold onto shapes the protagonist’s future. Those choices ripple across an entire lifetime, leading to branching story paths and different outcomes.

You start as a kid, choosing toys that represent your dreams for the future, and then you follow those dreams into adulthood. Along the way, you visit very different locations and themes while uncovering stories filled with heartbreak, wonder, and love.

The gameplay involves hidden objects, point-and-click puzzles, and plenty of little things to mess with. You can switch on lights, leaf through books, pet adorable animals, search every corner for hidden secrets, and interact with your surroundings.

Momento on consoles comes with different modes

If you’re mostly playing the game for the emotional story, there’s Story Mode. If you just want to decorate without worrying about narrative choices, there’s also Creative Mode. As you play through Story Mode, you’ll unlock furniture and decorations that carry over into the endless Creative Mode.

Once you reach the end, the game loops you back to the beginning so you can discover fresh endings and different twists. Meanwhile, Silver Lining Direct is also launching physical editions on July 17th, 2026. Take a look at the game below and see whether you want the digital version or the physical edition.
