Microsoft is teasing something special to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Minecraft, and it’s something to do with AR exclusively for the mobile version.

We wish we could go into more details, but the full reveal won’t happen until next week. All we know right now we’ve learned from the official teaser trailer.

Minecraft Turns 10 Next Week

This reveals a lady using the power of AR to bring the world of Minecraft to life in the real world. We don’t see a hint of any real gameplay though.

So right now, all we can do is speculate. It might be as simple as playing Minecraft in the real world using AR or something elaborate like a location-based AR game that lets you earn resources while on the move.

We’ll let you know as soon as we learn more. That’ll be next week, alongside the full announcement. In the meantime, you can watch the teaser trailer above and head on over to the official Minecraft site to learn more about the tenth anniversary celebrations.
