Meet the bikes of Trials Frontier

Ubisoft’s upcoming Trials Frontier is revving up for release this spring, but that doesn’t mean you can’t catch an early glimpse of the sweet hogs you’ll be riding. Ubisoft has shared some new videos and images exclusively with Gamezebo to give you a taste of the different choppers you’ll get to saddle up on later this year.

This is just a taste, mind you – while they’re not committing to a number quite yet, you can expect more than the four bikes you’re meeting today. But enough chatter – it’s time to see these bad boys in action!

Trials Frontier Review

The world wrapped around Trials Frontier is full of dust, rocks, and rust. Only the bravest, hardiest souls are capable of taming the land from the backs of their bikes. They ride hard while their motors rasp through the shimmering heat. They leap for glory, pop wheelies for justice……and then are forced to sit on the sidelines while their depleted fuel stocks slowly refill. They tap their feet and check their watch while an instrumental rendition of "Spanish Flea" pipes from the background.Trials Frontier from RedLynx and Ubisoft is a mobile iteration of the Trials biking series. There was some worry about what that would entail, and it turns out said worries aren't totally unjustified. Trials Frontier has an intriguing setting, a good sense of humor and lots of stunt bike action, but its free-to-play trappings are sure to turn off hardcore fans of the Trials games.

Back in the days when indie games on Steam were young and full of promise, there was one game that all of my friends insisted I purchase: Trials 2: Second Edition. I was never one for motocross, and everything I'd heard about the game made it sound blisteringly difficult to control; but it looked a little like ExciteBike, and that was enough pique my curiosity. Between that and the peer pressure I'd received from other gamers, I finally gave in.And I was really glad I did.Trials 2 was hard to control, but by design, not discomfort. It was about master balance while making your way around some crazy obstacles, and no matter how hard it got, you never wanted to let a level beat you.
