Fancy a 1v1 match? Well, Manaclysm is an upcoming brawler game where you can battle it out against 60 other players. It’s a 2D platformer, which only adds to its charm. Simplicity is key! However, the game itself is all but simple. With a Mana gauge, a large variety of spells, and danger in every corner, Manaclysm is proving to be a hidden gem for 2024.

For more information about Manaclysm, you can visit the game’s official Steam page – where you can also add it to your wishlist!

Unique Battles

2-60 players will appear in the arena to duke it out as you try to balance on platform edges in a realm that is falling under. The map will start to distort during battle, adding to the challenge when you’re unleashing powerful spells during a 1v1 against a fellow mage. Spells will change per match, giving you the opportunity to create unique play styles, which keeps the game fresh and fun no matter how long you play.

Manaclysm’s Otherwordly Aesthetic

Plus, have you seen those graphics? Gloriously glowy animations shoot across the screen as multiple spells are sent out at once. Dark and dingy backgrounds are lit up by each player’s collection of abilities. The platformer aspect makes the game feel pretty different compared to other brawler titles – it’s been a while since I’ve seen a genuinely good one.

Sadly, it’ll be a while until we get the full launch of Manaclysm, with a Q2 2024 release window. That’s pretty far off, but I suspect that there may be future playtests as the developers work on the game. This means we may be in with a chance and getting some early access, or we’ll get additional gameplay footage. Either way, I’m excited to see what else this bullet-hell-like game has to offer.
