ShaggyBearGames Is Working on a Night in the Woods-Like Game Called Lost and Found
Might remind you of The Amazing World of Gumball!

We’re back, throwing the spotlight on yet another indie game. This one comes from a Filipino solo developer ShaggyBearGames, and is called Lost and Found. The story is rooted in a rural town in the Philippines called Luisiana, where the developer is originally from.
It’s an adventure-mystery game
ShaggyBearGames has kept things quite simple in Lost and Found. You return townsfolk’s lost belongings and uncover personal stories behind each item. Gathering clues and investigating locals is part of the process.
The visual style is a hybrid animation that blends 2D, 3D, pixel art, and more. It takes cues from the mixed-media look seen in cartoons like The Amazing World of Gumball. It carries into how characters are presented, with each one getting a distinct appearance.
And overall, the game takes inspiration from narrative titles like Night in the Woods and detective games like Return of the Obra Dinn. However, in Lost and Found, ShaggyBearGames keeps the focus more on everyday lives and connections.
Take a look at Lost and Found by ShaggyBearGames!
As for the story, it happens in the year 2007. You play as Rico, a dog character who’s a laid-off artist and hasn’t had much luck finding work in the city. With options running thin, he heads back to his hometown of Luisiana and takes the only job available. That’s working at a local Lost and Found office.
The return isn’t comforting either. Friends have moved abroad chasing better opportunities, businesses are closing down, and the spots he used to hang out in feel worn out and forgotten. A sad reality which is quite common in most small towns nowadays.
But not everything that’s lost is meant to be found. That’s the philosophy of the game. The Steam page is now live, so do check it out.
