Loftia, the Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley-inspired MMO has revealed its release date. The team at Qloud Games, an independent studio based in Sydney, has dropped a new gameplay trailer. They announced during the Wholesome Direct showcase that the game is heading into Early Access in Fall 2026.

So, Loftia is a solarpunk-themed MMO which has a bit of many classic MMOs in it. Of course, there’s Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. There’s also a bit of The Sims, World of Warcraft and MapleStory.

You build a life in the sky across a network of floating islands. The focus is on farming, crafting, decorating, exploring, and hanging out with friends in a shared online world. You can create your dream homes and contribute to a more sustainable future.

The sustainability angle lets you use techniques such as hydroponics, aquaponics, and trellis farming. Renewable energy is there, with tools crafted using energy generated from the sun, wind, and rain. Crafting also involves recycled materials coming from salvaged goods.

You can rescue and adopt various animals, including capybaras, turtles, and other unique species. These companions accompany you on adventures and generally serve as adorable travel buddies while you explore the world.

Social interaction is the main theme in Loftia

Group quests and guilds are included, although they’re called Adventures and Clubs within the game. On top of that, the devs are adding features like community farming, multiplayer housing, group hangout sessions, and study sessions.

You work together with other players on large-scale projects that help the world expand. Contributing to the shared builds can unlock new resources, reveal hidden stories, and open entirely new islands for exploration.

You can wishlist the game on Steam now. Apart from PC, it will also be available on Nintendo Switch.
