A proposed remake of the first game earned well beyond its funding goal on Kickstarter, said remake is officially coming to Steam, and now GOG.com has released a bundle of classic games from the series. What a great couple of years it’s been for Leisure Suit Larry fans. A proposed remake of the first game earned well beyond its funding goal on Kickstarter, said remake is officially coming to Steam, and now GOG.com has released a bundle of classic games from the series. Who wants to go halfsies on some confetti and party hats?
Titled Leisure Suit Larry’s Greatest Hits and Misses, the bundle comes with games 1-6 (technically there’s no fourth game), the VGA remake of the first game, and the text-based Softporn Adventure, which served as inspiration for the series. And because this is GOG.com we’re talking about, all games in the bundle will be DRM-free – not to mention available for both PC and Mac.
While I’ve played snippets of Leisure Suit Larry games in the past, I’ve never actually played one from start to finish. This seems like a pretty good time to remedy that, although I’m a little terrified of that text adventure.
