The folks at Telltale Games are already toiling away on the rest of the episodic The Wolf Among Us, as well as the upcoming and highly anticipated The Walking Dead – Season Two. But now reports are suggesting that the acclaimed adventure game developer has a third secret title hidden up their sleeves – and in true Telltale fashion, it’s going to be based upon one of the most successful and popular franchises to emerge in the last several years.
IGN has reportedly learned from “multiple sources” that Telltale is currently in the midst of making a new adventure game series based on George R. R. Martin’s epic fantasy series A Song of Fire and Ice, and the accompanying HBO TV show, Game of Thrones. However, the identities of these sources and the means through which this news has surfaced were curiously absent from the initial report, so we’re just going to have to leave it up to pure speculation at this point.
Of course, Telltale has yet to officially confirm the existence of such a game right now, and as a result, we have no additional details to give you as to the game’s artwork, the story, or just how it’s all going to fit into Martin’s already well-established realm. Well if this news is true, then let’s just hope the finished product ends up being just as good as this year’s engrossing Facebook take on Game of Thrones, Game of Thrones Ascent.
