iPad Game Summit announced

From the moment it was introduced back in January, a great deal of talk has been generated about the iPad’s gaming potential. And while the device won’t be available to the public until this Saturday, there are those in the industry that are already abuzz about its future gaming potential. Taken Engage Digital Media for example – they’re so swept away by the possibilities that they’ve organized the first conference for iPad game developers, the iPad Game Summit.

The Summit will take place in San Fransisco on June 28th and is, according to the event’s official website, “for game companies eager to understand how best to position their games to take advantage of the new Apple iPad platform.” Planned content for the conference includes case studies from leading game companies, consumer behaviour and demographic usage patterns, and revenue opportunities ranging from pricing and advertising to subscription plans and in-app purchases.
