Die hard Apple fans living outside of the US had their hearts broken last month when Apple announced that the international launch of the iPad would be postponed. Thankfully they didn’t have to wait too long. Starting today, the Apple iPad is available in a variety of countries around the world.

You should now be able to pick up Apple’s popular tablet device if you live in any of the following countries, in addition to the United States; Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, UK.

While the international launch was originally scheduled for late April, high demand in the US had forced Apple to delay the iPad’s launch in other markets. Now that the launch has arrived, will Apple be able to keep up with a potentially high international demand? With potential US customers still being placed on waiting lists, it should be interesting to see how Apple handles its international supply.
