Abylight has announced that Hyper Light Drifter will launch on iOS in a mere month on July 25, and you can pre-order it right now in the App Store.

Not only that, but the it arrives as a Special Edition. This includes all of the content from the original game along with more weapons, enemies, and areas.

That’s without even mentioning the fact that iPad Pro users can play the game in a silky smooth 120 fps. Those on a regular iPhone and iPad get 60 though, and everyone can play the game with an MFi controller.

Hyper Light Drifter Draws Inspiration From the Likes of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Secret of Mana

Hyper Light Drifter is an award-winning hack and slash that originally launched on consoles back in 2016. It draws inspiration from the 16-bit classics like Zelda and Secret of Mana.

You play as the eponymous Drifter, who is hunted by a mysterious illness and travels into the lands of the Buried Time in search of a cure.

That involves an awful lot of action-packed battles against a wide variety of monsters and bosses, as well as a bunch of traps to overcome along the way.

Fortunately, you’ve got a few tools at your disposal, including a variety of weapons to upgrade, skills to learn, and a bunch of equipment to find – if you’re brave enough to explore the world for secrets.

You can pre-order Hyper Light Drafter on the App Store right now (link at the top) so you can grab it the moment it arrives on July 25. There’s no word on an Android version just yet but we’ll let you know if it gets announced.
