Google hosting an HTML5 GameJam

2010 might just be remembered as the year Google got into gaming. There has been speculation about the creation of a Google social games network, the purchase of several gaming companies including Slide and LabPixies, and the ongoing growth of gaming in the Android marketplace. Next on that list? Google is hosting an HTML5 GameJam this October in The Netherlands, as well as one in San Francisco.

In collaboration with SPIL GAMES, Google will be inviting developers from around the world to share their knowledge with one another during a weekend of coding and presentations. The event will take place in The Netherlands at the SPIL GAMES headquarters in Hilversum on October 9th and 10th, with a similar North American experience happening at Google San Francisco on the same dates.
