Congratulations to Gogii Games CEO George Donovan, who has been named Entrepreneur of the Year in the emerging entrepreneur category, Atlantic Canada division, by Ernst & Young. Since the New Brunswick, Canada-based studio was founded in 2006, it has released eight #1 games (including Princess Isabella, Escape the Museum, The Clumsys, and Nanny Mania), and sustained a 65% profit margin that continues to grow year over year.

Donovan was announced the winner at banquet on Oct. 1. All of the finalists were acknowledged by awards spokesperson Joyce Hoeven for "growing businesses, creating jobs and building communities despite daunting economic challenges."
"Entrepreneurs who seize the opportunities that arise in adversity can ignite a spark, and propel our economy forward," Hoeven added.
Donovan is now eligible for the overall award, which encompasses emerging entrepreneurs from all over Canada and will be awarded on Nov. 24.
As for future plans, Donovan said that Gogii Games plans to launch 10 online casual games, two or three Nintendo DS titles, two Wii titles, and two or three iPhone games per year moving forward.
