Who doesn’t love celebrating a birthday? It’s a time to pull all the stops out and spend some time basking in joy. And what better way to do that than throwing a 3D mapping projection up on one of the most iconic hotels in LA?
Well, that’s exactly what happened for Klee, a character in Genshin Impact, to celebrate her first anniversary. Over the night of July 26th, a special birthday video was projected onto the side of the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. The video featured the birthday girl herself, as well as plenty of special Genshin Impact-themed cakes, and lots of adorable reactions.
Interestingly, this is the first time ever that the Roosevelt Hotel has allowed a mapping projection on its east wall, the side of the hotel where the logo is. So not only did Klee get to have an awesome birthday celebration, she got to break new ground while she was doing it as well.
The projection party was attended by the Knights of Favonius, or if you prefer a bunch of Genshin Impact fans and players looking to show their admiration for Klee as she turned one. And let’s be honest here, if you could have your birthday party on the side of a hotel as a 3D projection, you would too.
