Gemini Rue adventuring on over to iOS

Adventure games are, by their own admission, an adventurous lot. You get a feel for this in how they play, but it’s also reflected in their tendency to show up on platforms of all shapes and sizes. A good example of that would be Gemini Rue, a game that’s making the leap from PC to iOS this spring. Can’t nobody hold adventure games down!

A good example of that would be Gemini Rue, a game that’s making the leap from PC to iOS this spring. Can’t nobody hold adventure games down!

Developer Wadjet Eye Games kept the announcement short and sweet, but they made sure to mention that Gemini Rue‘s interface has been tweaked to better suit the touch-screen, and that it will be a direct port of the original. They also sent along some screenshots, which I’ve included a few of below.

Gemini Rue, for those who haven’t played it, is a point-and-click adventure game set in a gritty sci-fi/noir setting. It features two protagonists: an ex-assassin named Azriel Odin and a man named Delta-Six. They each have their own motives for their actions (which I won’t spoil here), but their individual stories work in tandem to form a dark and interesting tale.

To summarize, if you have any sort of interest in neo-noir settings (a la Blade Runner), you’ll probably dig Gemini Rue.
