Garfield and friends come to Gourmet Ranch in special Thanksgiving event
Just in time for Thanksgiving, Garfield and his pals Odie, Nermal, and Pooky will all be getting their chow on this week in a food-filled trip to Gourmet Ranch, the popular Facebook game from Playdemic. In the game, players can grow their own crops and create fantastic gourmet recipes to sell to hungry customers in their in-game café. I’m not sure if Garfield knows all that much about growing crops, but he’s certainly got the whole delicious recipe thing down pat!
The special Garfield event will begin on November 21, 2013, and is set to run for an anticipated two-week stretch. The new limited content will allow players to utilize a number of Garfield-themed ingredients like a Garfield Turkey or Jon Cinnamon, for use in making extravagant recipes like Maple Glazed Pumpkin Pie and Thanksgiving Lasagna. Players who manage to complete the special Thanksgiving quest will be rewarded with an exclusive Garfield trophy.
In response to Gourmet Ranch‘s new collaboration with the notoriously hungry cat, Playdemic CEO Paul Gouge has stated, “We know that lots of our players are Garfield fans and we think it’s a real coup to get everyone’s favorite fat cat to visit Gourmet Ranch. We just hope he doesn’t eat us out of house and home!” Well I don’t know about you, but I just got extremely hungry writing all of this up. Time to go raid my fridge for something good to eat – unless Garfield somehow managed to get there first!
