The developer recently launched an open beta for its kid-friendly, underwater online game Sand Dollar City, and has also released a series of Flash games at The Fun Vault, aimed at raising financial literacy amongst kids. Its office has a family-friendly vibe and, more importantly, a mysterious secret door. DoughMain’s Greg Zesinger has agreed to take us on a tour, so let’s check out just where DoughMain does its thing.

“The company logo and motto. It’s all good.”
“When you first enter the office, you’ll see our wall of family photos. Everyone has a picture of their loved ones up on this wall. They not only serve as a reminder for what’s really important here at DoughMain, but also who best to contact in case of emergency.”
“The main conference room. We can always tell who sat where by matching their fingerprints on the shiny table.”
“We have a lot of kids coming through DoughMain HQ for focus groups and playtesting. They like hanging out in the Beanbag Room, complete with kid-sized door. Adults are allowed to go through it too, but they are usually laughed and pointed at.”
“The interior of the Beanbag Room, complete with cute characters directing the walls. Not sure where they’re from (what are those, flying mushrooms?), but think they could be concept art from one of our upcoming games. Think we might have a hit on our hands! (Note to Nintendo legal department: We kid, we kid).”
“Ahhh, the Couch Room. Another comfortable work/conference space. Alas, none of the couches has a pull-out.”
“We had a comic book artist design the Sand Dollar City ‘movie-style’ poster on the left. On the right, we had a bridge built leading to a fantastical world of fairies, rainbows, and unicorns. Oh wait, no. That’s a poster too.”
“What? You mean your office doesn’t have a secret door?”
“The ‘secret’ room features a quiet workspace for visiting kids to do their homework. It’s also where the company keeps all its valuable documents and treasures… or at least it was until just now. Sorry Boss.”
“DoughMain HQ borders a lovely park. The picnic table makes a good spot to watch planes fly in to nearby Princeton Airport, observe countless dogwalkers, or contemplate the mysteries of the universe. Also a good place to eat lunch, I suppose.”
