When it comes to the App Store, there are a few big players who always seem to dominate the charts. EA Mobile, Chillingo, ngmoco. Of this exclusive club, few have been brave enough to release overall sales figures. Gameloft broke their silence earlier today, declaring that they’ve just climbed past the 20 million mark.

With 100 games released since the launch of the App Store in July 2008, Gameloft has been responsible for a variety of top titles, from Let’s Golf! 2 to NOVA. The company is also responsible for a wealth of licensed content, like Shrek Forever After and Spider-Man: Total Mayhem, and portable adaptations of popular gaming franchises like Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, The Settlers, and Oregon Trail.

“The first half of 2010 marks a new step for us on the App Store,” declared Michel Guillemot, President of Gameloft. “The launch of the iPad and iPhone 4 has opened new horizons for developers and allowed us once again to transform our consumers gaming experience. 20 million paid downloads is proof that our games meet the expectations of our players and we will continue to satisfy them.”

Gameloft has already released 47 titles in 2010, and promises that you can expect another 15 before year’s end.
