Free Pokemon TV app hits the App Store

Pokemon TV, an app that lets you stream Pokemon episodes, films, trailers, and other Poke-goodness has just hit the App Store and Google Play. I would like to take this opportunity to inform all you younger folks that we didn’t have fancy apps or smartphones back in our day – if we wanted to watch Pokemon, we had to rush home as fast as possible when school got out. Simpler times, those were.

But as someone who will no doubt be downloading and using this free app, I’m in no position to whine. It’s launching with 50 fan-favorite episodes from the show, and more content will be added as time goes on—trailers, features exclusive to the app, etc.—including the latest film, Pokemon the Movie: Kyurem vs. The Sword of Justice, which will be available from February 15-18. An animated short titled Meloetta’s Moonlight Serenade will also debut on the 15, so it’s probably a day Poke-fans will want to mark on their calendar.

I’m watching an episode through the app as I write this (for research, of course), and can confirm that it works as advertised. It will be exciting to see what all is added to it as time goes on, but until then, 50 episodes is nothing to scoff at.
