Footage of Korea-exclusive Ghosts ‘n Goblins Online pops up

If I wrote a list of all the games I wanted to play that never made it to the states, it would easily hit the triple digits.  And somewhere on that list—probably in the top 10—would be Ghosts ‘n Goblins Online, a forthcoming Korea-only MMO set in the Ghosts ‘n Goblins universe. The good news, though, is that the game recently had a closed beta, and Steparu managed to capture a bunch of footage.

From the sounds of it, Ghosts ‘n Goblins Online doesn’t have the same level of difficulty found in traditional Ghosts ‘n Goblins entries. It’s totally still 2D, though, and you can totally still beat up a whole lot of bad guys. And in what is easily my favorite nod to the classic series, your character will lose all their armor and be forced to run around in their underwear if they take too much damage. To get a glimpse of all that, check out this gameplay video:

Pretty darn awesome, right? There will also be more traditional MMO elements such as character creation, PvP, loot, and boss battles. In the video below, a character wearing nothing but boxers attempts to take out one of the game’s bosses:

There are plenty more videos to see over on Steparu, and we’ll be sure to keep you all in the loop if Capcom decides to release the game outside of Korea. Maybe they’ll agree to do it if we get enough signatures on a White House petition.
