First look at Flappy Bird creator’s next game

We don’t know what it is, we don’t know how you play it, but we do know what it looks like – and hey, that’s better than nothing.

Dong Nguyuen tweeted a picture of his next project on Twitter last night, along with the smirk-inducing message “I am making a new game, so people can forget about Flappy Bird for a while.”

There’s no word on which of his previously announced projects this is attached to, or even if this is a previously announced project. TouchArcade’s Eli Hodapp suggests that “it might be some kind of runner,” and I’m inclined to agree. It almost looks like a Nguyenized version of Canabalt.

Though honestly, it’s hard to draw conclusions based on a single screenshot.

Having said that, it really doesn’t look like a screen that fits what we were expecting from Jetpack Kitty, Checkonaut or the untitled cowboy project. If I were a betting man, I’d say this is something that we’ve yet to hear about. Either way, let’s just hope he launches it soon!
