Steam Next Fest has arrived, which means you can now play the Enshrouded demo! A fantastic upcoming survival fantasy game that is sure to capture the hearts of many. Engaging combat, an immersive crafting system, and more await you in the realm of Embervale.

Enshrouded blends the genres of medieval fantasy action with crafting for survival. You can terraform landscapes, build forts and buildings, and decorate to your heart’s content via the voxel-based building system. With a wide range of armor and weapon blueprints at your disposal, you can set out to craft and customise your character. Due to the harsh conditions of Embervale, you must be well-versed in the art of wielding a sword, shield, staff, and bow.
While the features above already remind me of my time in Valheim, it’s the expansive 16-player co-op that really seals the deal for me. One of the best things about Valheim is that you can play together with friends – but it’s limited to a party of 10. Gathering a large team of survivors to band together during challenging raids means you’re more likely to obtain an abundance of treasure. However, I would like to note that playing Enshrouded solo or with one or two friends is still an extremely enjoyable experience!
Travel across the Embervale biomes as you discover new locations and ancient myths – my personal favourite is the beautifully gloomy, Revelwood. It’s your job to reignite the life of the kingdom, and provide shelter to the various NPCs you’ll meet on your journey. Building mighty structures will give your fellow citizens refuge, which then unlocks brand-new workshops for yourself – it’s a win-win!
Onto combat! Battle against hordes of enemies as you explore the realm, with some being much stronger than others. Monsters hide in the shadows as you wander through dungeons, caves, and misty forests. Make sure to upgrade your armor and weapons before you stray too far from the path.
