Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate is in the running for Best Hidden Object & Adventure and Best Casual Game of 2007 at the upcoming Zeeby Awards. We chatted with game developer Adrian Woods about what makes Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate special and why it deserves to get your vote.

Can you give us insights or fun facts about the development of this game?

We always try to innovate with gameplay mechanics, sometimes with mixed results. Keeping our fans guessing is a lot of the fun with the Mystery Case Files series.

What makes Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate special, and why should people vote for it?

The team set precedence for a new level of polish with this title. The puzzles are very abstract and different from other games. More animation, voiceover, and character artwork make the game world become more immersive.

Besides your own game of course, what other games impressed you in 2007?

I loved Puzzle Quest. It was one of the only games I finished last year. Fairway Solitaire was also big time waster for me.

If you win a Zeeby, how do you plan to celebrate (aside for going to Disneyworld, of course)?

If we win we are going to throw a ham party. Everyone’s invited but you have to bring your own ham.

Any final words for your fans?

A big thank you to all the Mystery Case Files fans! We appreciate your support and we’re working hard on mysterious, new surprises.
