Burger Shop is in the running for Best Time Management Game of 2007 at the upcoming Zeeby Awards. We chatted with developer Gobit Games about what makes Burger Shop special and why it deserves to get your vote.

Can you give us insights or fun facts about the development of this game?

The programmer on the project vowed not to cut his hair until it was done. Having previously worked on a two year project, he wanted to ensure that he had extra motivation to get it done quickly.

What makes Burger Shop special, and why should people vote for it?

Burger Shop shines a light on the obscure topic of "fast food". We wanted to expand awareness for this little known culinary delight. So get out the vote and let others in on the secret.

Besides your own game of course, what other games impressed you in 2007?

Peggle. That was a pretty awesome game. Love the ninth symphony and unicorns.

If you win a Zeeby, how do you plan to celebrate (aside for going to Disneyworld, of course)?

Cheeseburger and fries? Ha ha. But seriously, Cheeseburger, fries, and shake.

Any final words for your fans?

Thanks to everybody for playing! Without you, we’d be working as database programmers and fast food servers. Also, it is possible to get perfect service on all 160 levels of the game, so keep plugging away!

Voting for the Zeebys runs from now until July 5. Click here to vote for you favorite casual games of 2007.
