Celebrities and fans to square off in The Big Bluff launch event

Think you’re smarter than a reality TV star? What about a gossip writer and a former Pussycat Doll? You’ll have the chance to prove it on May 24, when fans are invited to test their trivia knowledge against a host of celebrities for the official launch of himojo’s new multiplayer trivia game for Facebook, The Big Bluff.

On May 24 from 8:00pm to 11:00pm Pacific Standard Time (PST), trivia fans worldwide can log in to The Big Bluff game on Facebook for a chance to play in real-time against celebrity blogger Perez Hilton and his celebrity friends including Mark Ballas, Kristin Cavallari, Brody Jenner, Cheryl Burke, Lacey Schwimmer, Ashley Roberts and Dr. Hollywood.

Himojo is also running a contest as part of the celebration that’s open to residents of Los Angeles, where one lucky person and a guest will get to attend the red carpet launch event which is being held at the Industry nightclub in West Hollywood, California.

Armed with an exclusive pass, the winner and a friend will walk the red carpet and have access to the exclusive party where the celebrities will be going head-to-head with fans online while DJ Tina T spins the latest in hip-hop. Los Angeles-area residents can enter to win by following @TheBigBluff on Twitter and re-tweeting posts pertaining to the contest. The Big Bluff is a trivia game that incorporates some elements of Texas Hold’em poker. The dealer starts by displaying three cards in the community hand; the first shows the question category, and the following two cards show hints to the answer. Players can then match the pot to continue playing and view the fourth and fifth cards, which display another hint, and finally the question that the players must correctly answer. Players can either fold along the way if they’re not sure of the answer, or bluff their way to the end, raising the pot and forcing their competitor’s hand. Plans are also in the works to produce a television game show version of The Big Bluff, which will be co-produced by himojo and TV producer Andrew Glassman, whose Glassman Media company produced NBC’s Average Joe. Players will have the opportunity to compete in the online game and win a seat to play on the television game show.
