This year’s Triple-i Initiative showcase will give you a glimpse of many upcoming games, including the next Castlevania. Returning for its third year on April 9th, the event is set to give us a better glimpse at Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse.
Earlier this year, the game already dropped its first teaser, but it wasn’t anything substantial. The real breakdown of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will appear at the Triple-i Initiative showcase. The stream runs for about 45 minutes and usually gives back-to-back game announcements.
The presentation focuses on indie game announcements, gameplay reveals and release dates. There are no hosts or filler content, and it’s just pure game info. This year’s showcase has a line-up of eight world premieres, alongside updates and trailers for multiple projects.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is one of the big names on the Triple-i Initiative showcase list, alongside titles like Windrose and Dead as Disco. Another point to note here is that the Triple-i Initiative is organised by Evil Empire, one of the studios working on Belmont’s Curse alongside Motion Twin.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is releasing in 2026 across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC. It’s a 2D side-scrolling action game with a traditional metroidvania structure. Set in Paris in 1499, you’ll be using the classic Belmont whip while navigating a semi-open map.
The project is part of a bigger moment for the franchise, which hasn’t seen a mainline entry in over a decade. It’s set two decades after the events of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and the recent animated show. The series’ original publisher and developer, Konami, is going to publish the upcoming title.
