David Stephenson has joined Big Fish Games as chief financial officer, following more than 20 years at Amazon.com and Procter & Gamble, the company announced.
David Stephenson has joined Big Fish Games as chief financial officer, following more than 20 years at Amazon.com and Procter & Gamble, the company announced.
As Gamasutra reports, Stephenson replaces Mike Vernon, who left Big Fish Games in May after serving as CFO for less than two years.
Stephenson’s responsibilities at Big Fish Games will include overseeing the company’s worldwide strategic and business planning and finance operations.
“[Stephenson’s] demonstrated track record of leading operational finance teams focused on large and complex consumer markets aligns incredibly well with our business and our plans for extending our operations, brand and product offerings across multiple platforms and geographies,” said Big Fish Games CEO and President Jeremy Lewis in a statement.
Prior to joining Big Fish Games, Stephenson spent 11 years at Amazon.com, most recently as VP of Finance for the company’s $15 billion North American Retail division, which encompassed both physical and digital merchandise, and financial oversight of subsidiaries including diapers.com and MyHabit.com. Earlier positions included vice president of finance for the Merchant Services division and finance director for Amazon Web Services. Stephenson also played significant roles in the Mom and Student Prime subscription programs, launched the Marketplace business in China, and lead the pricing analysis for Amazon Web Services. Prior to Amazon, Stephenson spent nine years with Procter & Gamble, where he focused on global strategic planning and new business development within multiple P&G business lines.
