And when Gogii Games releases its Archie game across iOS, Android, and Flash, maybe we’ll be able to make our choice seem a little more real.
Earlier today, Gogii Games distributed a press release announcing its partnership with Archie Comic to create a game based on the freckle-faced teenager and the denizens of Riverdale. The game, which is already in development, will star Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead (though plenty of second bananas will make appearances, too), and, according to Gogii Games, will be a story-driven adventure.
“[Gogii] came up with a way to really bring the comics to life and to engage an entirely new and fervent fan base,” said Jon Goldwater, the Co-CEO of Archie Comics. “We can’t wait for this game to go live across all platforms and countries.”
“On a personal level, I’m ecstatic to see my favourite childhood characters in a game,” said president and founder of Gogii, George Donovan. “I know this is going to be for the whole family. My parents and my kids know these characters. Archie is an icon, and we intend to create a virtual Archie’s universe worthy of the brand.”
There’s no release date at this time, but Gamezebo will keep on top of the game’s progress. Moose once told us to stay out of Riverdale. We choose to ignore that advice.
