Finland gets all the cool stuff, and that trend isn’t about to change. Last week, it was revealed that the country will be the home of a new theme park extension called “Angry Birds Land.”

According to TravelBite, Angry Birds Land will be part of Finland’s Särkänniemi Adventure Park, which is an amusement park that’s located in the city of Tampere. You know how North American amusement parks have themed “kiddie” lands that are based on licensed properties like Dora the Explorer, Snoopy, etc.? Angry Birds Land will be like that, expect a lot angrier.

Actually, the end result will likely be good, tame fun. Angry Birds Land will have themed rides and activities, and will include a “Magic Places” area, where (to quote TravelBite) “activities and the gaming world meet.”

“Our goal is to motivate the fans, both adults and children, to exercise and enjoy the outdoors,” says Harri Koponen, Rovio’s Executive Vice President of Licensing and Merchandising. With any luck, adults and kids will also learn to enjoy the sensation of crushing the enemy swine.

“We wanted to create a unique themed area and associate it with a strong and well-known brand,” adds Miikka Seppälä, the CEO of Särkänniemi Adventure Park. “The Angry Birds characters were born in Finland but known worldwide by people of all ages. This is a perfect fit for our Adventure Park.”

Särkänniemi Adventure Park’s summer season begins on April 28, and sneak previews of Angry Birds Land will be shown on the Park’s website. Will we see footage of happy children being flung into rickety towers made of brick and wood? Probably not, but we can dream.
