As someone who loves being out in nature, amongst the hills and rocky peaks, A Highland Song instantly caught my attention. And then I found out that it features rhythm game elements too, which makes it even better! Developed by the creators behind 80 Days and Heaven’s Vault, this new entry is set to be something special.

Growing up in the Scottish Highlands, Moira isn’t a stranger to climbing up huge rock formations and traversing across a variety of different terrains. That’s why she decides to embark on an adventure to discover more about her beloved surroundings. Your goal is the lighthouse that your Uncle Hamish owns along the coast, but can you make it?
As you make your way across the rocks, your movements are determined by the rhythm. Jump in time to help Moira safely explore the Highland. If you miss a step, Moira will most likely trip over and stumble – be wary of weather changes too! The entire soundtrack for A Highland Song is performed by Fourth Moon and TALISK, both incredibly talented folk bands from Scotland. Each song adds to the experience, with fast-paced tunes and relaxingly mellow harmonies depending on where Moira is.
Now, it’s not all about the rhythm. There are also secrets to uncover! 100 map fragments are hidden throughout the Highlands, which provide you with snippets of information regarding quicker and more efficient routes around the hills. I won’t divulge what else you can find along your journey, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised by what Moira manages to find.
