It’s been a long time coming, but Rovio Stars and Midoki’s Plunder Pirates is now available for Android devices.

Plunder Pirates originally released on iOS devices back in September of last year. As a whole, Plunder Pirates is a base-building game in the same vein as Clash of Clans, and we said as much in our Plunder Pirates review. We did, however, really dig the game’s graphics and exploration mechanics.

I missed Plunder Pirates when it first released, so today I spent some time with it on my Android phone and I enjoyed what I saw. On my Galaxy S5 I ran into no problems mechanically, or visually, and was satisfied with how the game ran. I see myself keeping Plunder Pirates around on my phone at least through the weekend. I typically lose interest in Clash of Clans-esque games after a few days.

Except Star Wars Commander, because Star Wars.

But hey, if Pirates are more your thing than Sith, then by all means, checkout Plunder Pirates, now available for both Android and iOS devices.

Be sure to read up on our Plunder Pirates Tips, Cheats, and Strategies for an inside look at the best way to play Plunder Pirates.
