Trivia Crack Adventure is ostensibly a board game. You roll dice, move along a 3D board and try to get to the end before your opponent. Every square you land on you need to answer a question – get it right and you get to roll the dice again. Get it wrong and it’s your opponent’s go.

You’re playing against real people, and once your turn is over you have to wait for the other player to take theirs. There’s a neat, turn-based simplicity to things, and there’s enough of a community around the game already that you’re rarely waiting around for long.

There are a few twists to the formula thrown in for good measure. Land on a space that’s a black hole and you’re sucked back down the board – unless you pay some coins or watch a video. Land on a door and you’ll move up. Sort of like snakes and ladders, but, y’know, doors and holes instead.

There are also characters to rescue along the way. Answer these questions right and you’ll have an edge over other players who get them wrong. Or you can just watch a video or spend some of those coins to get another go.

The questions aren’t the toughest, and there’s some annoying repetition and rephrasing from time to time. As the old adage goes, though, they’re only easy if you know the answer. Multiple choice means you’re always in with a shot of getting them right, though.

Everything about Trivia Crack Adventure is well polished, clean and designed to keep you playing. The only really annoying thing is the life system, that’ll stop you in your tracks and leave you waiting until you can have another go.

This is the sort of soft multiplayer experience that a lot of people clamor for on mobile. And it does everything that it sets out to do perfectly well. If you’re looking for a good game to while away a few minutes of question answering here and there, then you could do a lot worse than checking out Trivia Crack Adventure.
