The Simpsons: Tapped Out gets new Treehouse of Horror update

Boo! Halloween has come early to Springfield this year, as the latest “Treehouse of Horror” update to EA’s popular The Simpsons: Tapped Out game is dishing out the scares today on your mobile devices. The storyline of the latest update was penned by the same writer behind The Simpsons’ upcoming “Treehouse of Horror XXIV” episode, and players who tune in to the episode when it airs on TV this Sunday, October 6th will also have a unique chance to unlock a special tie-in item after correctly answering a trivia question.

All in all, the new “Treehouse of Horror” update is said to include all new characters, like Count Burns and the deceased Maude Flanders; new buildings and rides, like the Gypsy Fortune Teller Shop and the thrilling Twirl ‘n’ Hurl at Krustyland; tons of new decorations that will really put Springfield in the Halloween spirit; and of course, a healthy dosage of fun new quests, that involve everything from helping ghosts find their eternal rest, to standing strong against a town invasion of Gremlins.
