Funny coincidences are funny. This past weekend I was rewatching Planet of the Apes for the zillionth time, and I thought to myself “that late 60’s / early 70’s sci-fi vibe was fantastic, but so few games try to capture it. I wonder whatever happened to The Silent Age Episode 2?”

Today, I have the answer. The Silent Age Episode 2 release date has finally been announced, and it’s coming October 16th. That’s next Thursday for you kids without calendars.

While somewhat short, the first game had plenty of substance and style. It’s a dystopic time travel point-and-click adventure game that seemed to set the stage for something much larger. We don’t know for sure how big the second episode will be, but with the promise of 60 new locations, you’ve got to think it’s not going to be too small. Either way, it sounds like this is going to be the end of the tale.

You can download Episode One for free on the App Store and Google Play right now.

The Silent Age Episode Two will be available on Android, iOS and Amazon on October 16th for $4.99.
