When Activision launched the full Skylanders Trap Team experience on iPad and Android tablets last Fall, we were blown away. It seemed like the sort of move that could usher in an era of AAA games on mobile devices.

That didn’t happen, but that isn’t stopping Activision from doubling down this holiday season. Today the publisher announced that Skylanders Superchargers will, for the first time, be playable on the iPhone as well. The Superchargers app will be universal, so you’ll be able to enjoy the experience on whichever device you prefer. (Unless you prefer Android — they’re out of the picture this time around). Even better, the game will use cloud saves, so you can start on your tablet and continue on your phone.

This isn’t the only AAA release Activision is trying on mobile this year, either. The full Guitar Hero Live experience is destined for smartphones and tablets later this year.

Skylanders Superchargers for iOS will be available in North American retailers beginning October 25th.
