I’m a sucker for westerns. Don’t believe me? Just look at my praise for 2-bit Cowboy, and know that I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for High Moon. But westerns don’t seem to get as fair a shake from the gaming community as other genres. There are a thousand Call of Duty’s or every Red Dead Redemption. Cowboy fans are an underserved minority in the gaming community.

Maybe that’s why I’m a tad-embarrassed that I haven’t heard of Ready Steady Bang before now. It’s a quick draw dueling game that came out back in 2011 and flew well under my radar – probably because I don’t care for dueling games. They’re just too simple, and I have a skillset for these befitting Alexander Hamilton. (Too soon?)

Ready Steady Play is the game’s follow-up from developer cowboy games — it will be a trio of games, actually — and while the trailer doesn’t really confirm what kind of game we’ll be getting, it’s too fun not to share.

Congratulations Ready Steady Play – you’re now officially on my radar.
