Cyanide Studio has unveiled the first gameplay video for Pro Cycling Manager: Tour de France 2011, the super-realistic cycling and sports management sim for PC that’s set to launch this fall.

Adding to the realism of Tour de France 2011 is the fact that the riders actually reflect the height, stature and riding style of their real-life counterparts. The bikes have also been adapted to the new cyclists, offering a large selection of customizable frames and wheels.

The video trailer also shows off the detailed new scenery, roads and landscapes that will be featured across the game’s 500 stages in more than 150 competitions.

Blending team management and sports simulation, Tour de France 2011 lets you lead one of the official teams through the 2011 cycling season. From sponsors to finances, from your cyclists training to negotiation of their contracts, you have all the cards in hand to lead your team to success. Tactics will also be required during the races, where each of your decisions will be essential to win the most prestigious competitions.

In terms of the game’s management sim aspects, the user interface has been streamlined for easier understanding, while still offering more precise interactions with the team’s cyclists and sponsors. Sponsorship management is richer and more in-depth, and each cyclist’s performance during a competition will directly impact their salaries and sponsors’ offers.

The game’s updated AI presents fierce completion with plausible, unpredictable behavior in the pack, during breakaways, in sprints, and other highlights of the race. The fan-favorite level-editor is back, letting creative players design their dream race.
