We all dream of shooting off into the stars and creating our own paradise. Well, Pixel People makes that dream a reality as the aim of the game is to build a utopia after a disaster wipes out the Earth.

Tips, Cheats and Strategies

• Experiment with combinations. You will know if a splice will be successful or not by the colour of the test tube in the middle. A test tube with purple liquid means you are about to create a gene mix you have not created before.

• Avoid yellow mixes. When a combination is new to you, it will be in purple. When you have created the mix before, and do not need it, it will be a yellow colour. In my experiences, this yellow mix means you will craft someone you can’t put into employment right away. This means you will have to use Utopium to move them to the mother ship or let them take up a slot till you can place them in a profession.

• Fill up your hearts. Every now and then, the people that are placed into accommodation together will fall in love. They signal this love to you by a large heart icon above the house. Click this house and fill up the heart until a nice quote comes up. Fill up eleven of these hearts for a special reward, like a big, cold, hard lump of cash.

• Build roads. I can’t say with certainty you need to build roads or your city won’t work, but it helps with organisation. Looking at a mix of buildings next to each other means it can be an eyesore. Building roads allows you to order your city and give it some structure. Making it much more appealing on the eye and easier to manage in the long run.

• Tap to collect. Random events are frequent in space, so be sure to click around for some rewards. You may find a brand new gene to craft with, like the dreamer, or you may find money and Utopium. One thing to also remember is that you don’t need to collect money from buildings, it’s collected automatically.
