It’s hard to hit the slopes when you’re trapped by an avalanche

The second game in the Phantasmat series, ERS is taking over the helm from previous developers Codeminion, and the new game looks set to be just as awesome as the first. Phantasmat: Crucible Peak

You play a tourist who arrives in the Alps after having saved for years for his trip. Skiing in the Alps has always been his dream, and now that he’s finally arrived, he’s straight on his skis and off soaring down the slopes. However, the dream vacation quickly sours into a nightmare when he becomes trapped in the picturesque resort after an avalanche. After years of saving to get there, he’s now desperate to get out. Some people are just never happy.

The gameplay combines adventure and hidden object finding, and the story looks like it will quickly turn into something a whole creepier than a simple escape from a natural disaster. Screenshots show cabins with snow-covered rooftops, an abandoned cable car and what looks like some kind of military installation.

The first Phantasmat game scored highly with Gamezebo, earning a more-than-respectable 4 and a half stars. We eagerly anticipate the next installment, which will be coming ‘soon’.
