Let’s be real: Even if they weren’t well-made games, One Piece Treasure Cruise and Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle were always going to have their fans just because the anime franchises they’re based on are so popular. The fact that both games are fun and have quite a bit of story in them is just icing on the cake.

Yet Bandai Namco has figured out a way to make our hypothetical cake even sweeter by featuring both games in a crossover event that is going on now and runs through Thursday, November 24. It’s actually being called the Ultimate Crossover without a hint of hyperbole. Well, maybe just a little.

It’s a true crossover in the sense that characters from each game will be appearing in the other. Expect to see Frieza as a boss battle in One Piece Treasure Cruise (in a fight that really should be no contest) and Doflamingo from One Piece returning the favor in Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle.

But that’s hardly the best part. Just for logging in during the Ultimate Crossover, One Piece Treasure Cruise players will receive a special four-star Monkey. D. Luffy Gum-Gum Gatling Gun character, along with one Rainbow Gem each day. In Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, it’s [The Last Instant Transmission] Super Saiyan Goku who is the reward character and one extra Dragon Stone for playing daily.

On top of that, there are great rewards that can be earned by fighting the crossover bosses in an event that runs through November 2. Every player in both games can take down Frieza and Doflamingo to earn points toward a running overall total, unlocking nine different tiers of rewards for players in both games. You can track the progress everyone is making on the Ultimate Crossover website.

Best of all, if you haven’t played either game yet, both of them are free downloads. Hit the App Store or Google Play now to get in on the crossover action, and best of luck fighting Frieza with Luffy. That dude’s kind of a beast.
