Happy Glass is a physics-based puzzler where the aim of the game is to fill your cup with water. Now I know what you’re thinking, how hard can it be to get water into a cup? Well in Happy Glass, it’s a lot harder than you’d think. Gamezebo’s cutting-edge guide will get you filling cups like a pro.

Be vigilant

In Happy Glass, you will earn more stars depending on how much of the pen tool you use. The amount of ink you have left is indicated by the bar at the top of the screen, use this bar to avoid completing levels with two or fewer stars. So, when you are in a level that requires a lot of drawing, you should take your time and draw it slowly. If you touch any object in the scene, the pen tool will freeze, so be careful and avoid touching the edges.

Keep it fresh

Happy Glass is good at guiding you to solve a level one way and then requiring a totally different approach for the next level. It’s always trying to keep you on your toes, so try not to fall into a rut. Just because one technique has worked on a few previous levels, doesn’t mean it will work this time around. Sometimes getting a fresh pair of eyes on the level will help you solve it. Also, if you’ve been stuck on a level for a while you should quit and come back to it. The levels are really simple, so odds are you were trying something a lot more complicated then what the level requires.

Use what is in the level

I don’t mean that you should do anything special, just take note of the water spout and the cup itself. You can wrap around the water spout in some levels, this is useful for holding the cup or redirecting the water spout. The cup is heavier then you think, it takes a lot of ink to knock the cup over, so don’t be afraid to draw onto the tip of the cup.

Adapt to the flow

Sometimes your plan won’t go as planned, but that can be a blessing in disguise. Sometimes your plan can be a little too convoluted, and this can open your eyes to the short and sweet. Other times the objects in the scene are actually a distraction, rather than a problem.

Learn the strength of the pencil

Happy Glass

What you draw in this game has some serious weight to it, not just in terms of impacting the flow of water, but also the physical weight of what you draw. You can draw the shape of the letter ‘N’ for added weight if you need to topple over a platform. Plus you can use the letter as a blockade, to stop water from flowing in a certain direction. Another power of the pencil is the way you can bind two objects together as a type of bridge, or as a way to keep the cup from falling.

Essentially there are a million ways to use the pencil, and normally the simplest way is the most effective. So take your time, don’t get frustrated and utilise those around you. You’d be surprised how a fresh pair of eyes can have a unique approach to a level that you’ve been stuck on for ages. They might not solve it, but they might just open your eyes as to how the level could be done.
