We haven’t seen a new entry in the Governor of Poker series since 2010, but Youda Games is bringing the franchise back very soon. Only this time, it’s on Facebook.
The aptly named Governor of Poker Social will have players both dueling in poker matches and building up a ranch. There will be multiplayer tournaments with up to eight players, according to Youda, and you’ll be able to win everything from cash to property. The ultimate goal, as always, is to become the governor of Texas.
The ranch-building portion of the game sounds like it will feature many elements common to social games like FrontierVille, as you’ll be able to collect rent from buildings, complete a number of goals, and customize your character with 80 different outfit and hat options.
Governor of Poker Social is currently in closed beta. No release date has been announced yet.
