Every so often, you come across a game that makes you go, “Wait … what?” Gotta Eat Them All: Clicker qualifies on multiple counts.

For starters, it’s an endless eater, perhaps the only “endless” sub-genre we’ve yet to explore. You control a “jaded glutton” named Leon who’s on a mission to celebrate the holidays and prepare for the winter by shoveling as much food into his mouth as humanly possible. Or maybe inhumanly possible since it’s not even entirely clear that Leon is a person.

Gotta Eat Them All

Is it a warning about overeating? Or maybe some sly commentary on how we tend to pig out at the holidays? Could be either, though if so, it’s done with tongue firmly in cheek, as the things that Leon devours include dishes like Charcoal-Broiled Dinosaurs and Alien Risotto. Upgrading his utensils to things like a Lightsaber (don’t tell Lucasfilm) or Thor’s Hammer (or Marvel) helps him eat faster, and you can even upgrade Leon’s stomach so he can eat more.

It’s weird, funny and yet mildly disturbing at the same time. What makes it even more bizarre is that Gotta Eat Them All comes from Animoca, which is perhaps best known for things like Thomas & Friends games and He-Man Tappers of Greyskull. Plenty of kid-friendly fare there, but I’m not sure if I should put this one in front of my children or not.

Gotta Eat Them All

Last but not least, there’s the fact that the title could be a reference to/shot at the famous Pokemon tagline about catching ’em all. Or it might not. There’s a lot about Gotta Eat Them All that simply leaves you dumbfounded. You really need to download it right now to either be delighted or appalled.
